Same last night, look how he took Sato at the start..magic, but later in the race tiny mistakes allowed Sato through...and that was the end for him...

Schumacher is without a doubt the best TTer in F1, but racer, na.
Let's see, sits behind the pack, they pit, he goes like stink on a free track, pits, goes like stink again, and.............2nd.  How many cars did he pass on the track, 1?

Schumacher can setup a car and qualify like no other, but in the pack, nix da.

It's no coincidence that they changed to the one car qualification.

Nilsen mentions new rules, you betcha, let's go back to more then 1 car qualification, no stops and a point for the qualify winner.  Oh, get rid of the electronic crap, pop the clutch and shift again for christ sakes.

Yup, Masherbum has got it, Senna, Clark, Stewart, Hill, Prost, Mansell with the best drive ever in Brands Hatch.

I didn't want to copy his whole list.  Sorry Mansell still owns the best drive.  If you want, add Ascari.

folks, there is NO allmighty race driver, how can you
say fangio is better then lets say prost or senna
or schumacher, they didnt compete against each other,
so we will never know. What we know is there are
some racers who dominate the podium for a short period of time,
nothing more and nothing less.
I was a big Senna fan the time he was racing.
Now i'm Schumacher Fan, and maybe i would be Fangio or Clark fan if i where living that time.

But today we can compare Alonso with Schumacher, cuz they
are driving against each other. Of course Alonso first have to
gain a few more world championships to look at least like a racer
in teh shadow of Schumis 7 Titles ;) *g*

He's always been very mistake-prone.  I think he's making progress though.
In the past, things like Sato passing him (and not leaving much room at all) and his bobble at Variante Alta would have resulted in a crash and DNF.  Both times yesterday he lost position, but kept the car on the road.

U.S. coverage of the race on CBS completely sucked. Can't wait to watch it on Speed.

I'm no Schumi fan, but that was an impressive drive. Even Schumi haters have to be impressed with the pass on Button.

Ferrari/Bridgestone obviously have gotten their collective act together and are faster than Renault. I wish Kimi would have stayed out to see how McLaren sized up - they also sure seemed to be much faster than Renault.

yes i also wanted to see where Kimi & McLaren really stand,
to bad Kimi got that early out of race, it would be fun to watch
both (Alonso & Kimi) fight. Ferrari is doing much better now, but
the McLaren is incredible fast. McLaren could be the Joker this year. The F1 season 2005 just started...
