Showed that Schumacher is great when alone and against the clock, but when he needs to stick it, forget it.

Alonso, manhandled him - great stuff.

Lol anyone thinking Schumacher isn't _the_ best racedriver ever in F1 history is a dimwit.

He has nothing to prove and he has broken almost every record in the history of the sport.

Yup indeed.

MS had nothing to loose really and everything to gain, but he still didnt have the guts to overtake Alonso. Looked "easy" to keep MS behind for 12 laps.

Hehehe, Alonso driving the slowest lap in the race, letting back markers catch back up, and Schumacher still didn't have the balls to make a move.

Watched the best "Race Drivers" yesterday at the Nordschleife,
didn't recall seeing Schumacher there.

Umm San Marino is one of the toughest tracks to overtake anyone. If the leading driver doesn't make a mistake the follower can't overtake him unless he has way faster car. Alonso didn't make a mistake under MS pressure so he kept his position through great driving.

Sure Schumi could have forced himself to overtake and knock both drivers out of the race in the process.

For some unimaginable reason he chose to take the points for the 2nd place. Crazy innit?

Gee if that's all you know about F1 maybe it's better to refrain from posting.

If Schumi wants to win this years championship the best thing he could have done was to take out Alonso even it it had not given him a single point.

When he was younger he did that to Senna Nilsen. Maybe after several world championships he feels he can try to win one through fair play?

How many people would you knock out at 200km/h knowing you'll fly to the wall along with him? :)

No such thing as fair play in F1 mister ;)

Schumi is a timid driver these days, and his reign is over. He used to be decent driver in the most expencive car but thats history now. Now he is just driving an expencive car.

Reign is over? Umm.. lets see.. He started from pos 13 and advanced to 3rd place during the first pitstop and 2-3 laps.

Yeah, his time is definately over.

And btw. I'm not even a MS fan, I just acknowledge the facts.

He knew about the bump in the road just before the turn, and yet he was the only one that went off during qualifying this morning. Thats not something a true champion would do is it?

There is no doubt that he will get many points this season if they can get the ferraris reliable, but  I thinks its to late for him to win the championship... to many good teams this year and Renault has proven to be the best team this year.
Schumi cant win anymore when he is not driving the best car. His teammate who has helped him to many of the championships is also showing his true weakness when the cars they drive are not alot better than the competion so no help there either.
I bet that in the next couple of races Raikkonens car will be reliable too and he will also fight MS and  take points away from him.

As i said .. to many good teams this year, and Alonso has already gotten way to many valuable points. Even if MS should win all of the remaining races (wont happen) its enough for Alonso to get second places for the rest of the season to keep MS behind him in the overall. (almost anyway)

So it goes..

Last season everyone moaned about MS because he ruled the series so bad that everyone was tired of watching the races in the end.

This season they slack with the car, MS makes a single mistake during qualifying and all of the sudden he's a has been.

I wouldn't be surprised if they agreed with MS to cut slack to the others just to make the series interesting. F1 was losing viewers fast because of one drivers reign over others.

You pretty much got it right there Siaf. ;)

Alot of what i posted was wishful thinking, but it may still be the case. We will see, but mark this thread cause i dont _think_ MS will win this year but I dont think Alonso will continue to increase his lead over the competitors either.

It will be the closest season in years, and frankly that is a good thing imo. :)
