Gone Forever
« on: September 12, 2001, 08:14:00 AM »
I was in Long Island for a wedding less than 3 weeks ago. First time in NY as an adult. We took the subway to Penn station to see the city. We were going to go up the towers for the view but time limitations prevented it. Instead we took the Statue of liberty ferry. The 1st pix is from the Statue of Liberty island, the second from the ferry otw over .. the 3rd speaks for itself..

I consider myself lucky that I've been up to the observation level of the WTC before.  It was a spectacular view, but it never really meant that much to me before yesterday.

The WTC may be gone today, but will never be forgotten.  They will be rebuilt, we must rebuild them, for no other reason than to show the world we will not be beaten.
Hell, build them taller than before.  The symbols of our way of life cannot be taken out with mere bombs for they represent what we hold dearest in life.
Objects of this nature will come and go, but the emotions, the sprit, and the will we have as a nation cannot be compromised.

They will be rebuilt.  We owe a lot of people that died in those towers no less.
