I remember this.

What's amazing is that he hits the semi in the rear at such a high speed, yet his body ends up stopped near the front of the truck, just a couple feet from the road. I wonder what kind of g's he went throught in order to stop that fast?

One lucky SOB. What's that, like 165 mph to zero in about 35 feet?

The truck was hardly even moving....maybe 10mph.... and the truck in front of it was stopped.

I see those semis everyday...I don't they are 100 feet long, maybe 40-50.

In Oregon, semi trucks are limited to 60 ft overall except on Interstates. A truck towing a set of doubles can go to 75 feet. I've seen triples on I-5.

Not convinced he was going 165...those cruisers (and even the chopper) would not be keeping up so well if he was going that fast. I could believe 80 just before he got to the trucks...but given the damage to the car, I'd guess impact was closer to 60-65.

I believe the vette wiper motor goes for about 165.00.

Maximum length for trailers is 53ft with an overall tractor-trailer length of 75ft. His deceleration rate was somewhere in the carrier landing range, whatever that is. However, a Corvette is not a Corsair.

Well I'd believe that the narrator exaggerates. As an example he calls the car a "factory perfect" corvette. however, one can clearly see that the left headlamp motor is damaged and/or the housing itself is damaged.
OTOH I highly doubt he was only going 60-65 MPH. There is no way you could get a 'vette that loose with the gentle maneuvering he was doing if it was only going 65 mph unless it had some tire damage.
