The ProModeler 110G night fighter shows a 110 by a Lancaster with the lanc's outboard port engine flaming. The 110 is flying toward the imaginary camera and the lanc is veering off in the rear away from the camera.

Only... In night fighting you got close. REAL close. And you didn't line up under the lousy outboard engines, you lined up with the belly of the beast. You were so close you couldn't miss the belly and hit the outboard wing 30 feet to the side of where you were aiming. It always irks me when I look at it.

so list 'em and put up for sale on arc/hyperscale...  some of those jet weenies will pay near obscene prices... the prop guys seem to be more stingy...

Shane, I've seen some prop guys that put jet guys to shame!

The solution is simple... lose MOST of them. Keep maybe 1 of each. Sell the rest. Keeping a few means you don't have to invest any $$$ when you get back into modeling (and you will... it's in your blood now).


I never got into hording or collecting a stash. I can see the appeal, but having too many means you're less likely to build them. I only buy kits I will build. At most I get a handful at a time, wait til they're all done, then wait til I have any $$ then buy a couple more. Currently have 1 nearly done, 2 half done, 1 chopper in progess, and 1 kit in stash. That's a lot for me at 1 time lol.

RAF night bombers used tight turns as a way to evade nachtjaegars if they saw then in time.  Unquestiionalby, the box depicts an occasion when the 110 was spotted just before it opened fire

"unquestionably"? Bah.. no heavy-laden lancaster is going to pull a tight turn in dark of night. Plus if it turned away and the 110 was still flying "forward" it would have hit the OTHER outboard engine (starboard). I think it's just poor box art.

I keep thinking that when the kids are finally gone and things settle a bit, I'll get back to it.  And as any one who has build models knows, there's something about just knowing they are right there if the itch comes back strong for me to build.

I keep looking at the 38s....wonder why :)

One of each, E, F, G, H, J, L, M and F5.  That's 6 Headhunter 38s if I ever get off my 6 and get to it :)

I do think of selling them at times, but they're not bugging anyone and it's fun to look at em now and then.

Man, you gotta do one of the 38s

I'm busy, but i'm working on a 38J right now (slowly) but it's  coming along.  I got most of the parts trimmed and cleaned already.  I'm not shure about the paint job, might go Bong, not shure though.  I might do a line spec if I really want put some time into it.  

Anyways, just pick up the box and open it. See if you can put it down. It's calling for you Guppy35

Have to agree with greenteneral. Start one. Even if it's slow work. I've been working on a Roden 72nd He111E1 for at least 4 months now, and I'm only halfway done. I never used to take this long. But do what you can when you can. Life is life. Just enjoy the breaks you get by modeling lol!

I don't doubt that someday I will,  But I also started doing profiles on the computer and I NEVER get glue onc tha canopy :)

These are kinda fun too.  So far I've done Hurries, Spits, 109Es, P47s, P38s, P51s,P63s, a TBM, B24s, A Lanc, and a B29
