CPU Overheating
« on: April 27, 2005, 03:01:23 PM »
Hi, does anyone else have this problem? Can someone suggest something?

I have a Pentium 4, 2.4Ghz processor and 1Gig of RAM. Whenever I start to play Aces High, it goes for about three minutes and then I get a warning message that my processor is overheating. Odd thing is this is the only game I play where this happens, and I play other games that are newer and more demanding on my system but I never any problems with those.

Does anyone have a possible answer/solution to this?

Thanks

Actually, Aces High is one of the most demanding games out there.  Any good flight simulator will always push the CPU harder (read more floating point) than any other type of game.

Are you using the stock Intel cooler?  If so, make sure there is no dust on the fan blades or in the heat sink fins.

Thanks Skuzzy, I did sort of clean out the fan and heatsink. Maybe I should just go get some compressed air and give it good clean out.
