Pearl Harbor Marketing Idea

The movie is coming out memorial day...might be a cool idea to re-enact it and try to get some press relating it to AH.  Maybe a co-op ad kinda thing...press might read "see the movie and re-enact it on AH".  Might bring in some new players/revenue.  Just a thought.
An hey, if it brings us some new scenario supporting planes and terrain..well thats just coincidental

Actually...

A friend of mine in the theater business is running a promotion where whoever dresses in costume for the premiere for Pearl Harbor is entered into a contest - winner gets a month's subscription to WB.   I tried to get him to go AH, but he won't budge, the stubborn bastard.

Yeah I think anyone in the WWII sim areana would capitalize on this movie event.    I'm just wondering how I can get a sponsorship from a big company.  You know...so they can give me free gear, cool leather WWII jackets, fly me around the country to airshows etc.     Hey....it could happen

Re-enact Pearl Harbour? Great idea!

Hows about this...

Rooks vainly attempt to warn the Knits, who are sitting idly on CV decks doing nothing, while the Bish come in and bomb the crap outta them.

Sound good?

I just wish the enormous budget of this film had been spent on something far more interesting....re-doing "Midway" with CGI would be AMAZING.

Or Guadalcanal..not the mop-up period depicted in "The Thin Red Line" but the vicious, desperate battles when it was still in doubt several months earlier...Edson's ridge, and a night surface battle or something.

You guys know that the movie isn't about 'Pearl Harbor' but the events that lead up to it? It does have the Attack on Pearl Harbor in it, but it is also about the American Volunteers in the B.o.B, so you will get to see some Spitfire action in it as well   . I know I can't wait!

It's actually not a movie about history at all, but about a fictional "love story" written in the same manner as TITANIC, except this time wrapped around events in 1941.

Somehow I am not expecting a very good movie.  Good history is rarely mixed with mass entertainment.   But we can all hope!
