has anyone seen ....

Hi,
When I played this game I had this exact problem.

For some months I had the luxury of having 2 ISP :)

I normaly used my HomePNA 1MB ISP, but now and then I got this problem, described in this thread.

Then I would boot and switch to the other ISP, that only was 128kb, but the game worked fine.

Once I even tested to switch back to the 1MB ISP, to see if the problem realy was with the ISP, and it was.

I did a tracert to start to ping the routers, to see wich one had varience in responce time. In my case my ISP router (default gateway) had un even responce times from maybe 10ms - 3000ms

I also had this problem before having 2 ISP. Then it some times dissapeare if I rebooted the PC. Maybe I got connected in a different ATM or what its called

But I can say with 100% surtenty that a) I can't spell and 2) it was in my case an ISP problem.

Unless you can take up all the bandwidth, the amount of data comming out the CT or MA should not make a difference.  I think

That is the EXACT variance pattern I get anymore in the MA.  It's been causing horrible warps, lag and eventually UDP loss.

In 3 years of AH I think I had been booted only 5 times until recently.  Now it's every day it seems.

I think it is because the MA is overloaded at peak times, can't handle the load

never have an issue when I log into it before work when there are maybe 100 on but when there are 300+ it gets weird

with low numbers in CT, I think it helps and I always have a great connection in there versus an iffy one in MA lately

i dont think it's a load thing, cause ive jumped into the back up MAIN arena , and i get the same pattern. Could it be in the vox, or thw way vox is handeled?  It almost seemed to start when HITECH was going to town on the vox issue .    ive  noticed one time i lost vox, it instantly disapeared. Havent been able to replicate that thou. I bet there are alot more than just us getting this, alot of people dont check their net stat enuff, some dont even know how. I asked a few on range the other night to look at theirs, they asked me how lol.   38

Nothing changed between those times... Settings remained the same. The only thing that changed was the fact that my Net stat was good again but my frps was garbage.

Jeeze, I had that exact, very same thing here last night !!! Frames hit in the low 20's .... and it had me changing drivers and settings untill 3 am this morning .

Wish to he_ll I would have seen this thread , would have saved me alot of time and  grief ........

No solution  from me, I am still getting it with regularity and I still can't track down the cause.

The pattern is always pretty much the same. Nothing abnormnal at all shows up in Pingplotter while this is going on, the connection looks rock solid from a traceroute/ping point of view.

Very frustrating.

I have that exact same issue here. I posted a thread on it awhile back. It seems to happen at the exact same time every night. My connection will be fine and then boom it starts up.

It'll go from a nice saw tooth to some saw tooths then straight up, straight over then straight back down a few times then back to the normal saw tooth. Doesn't matter if I'm on my adelphia line or my verizon line. I've killed all the processes that I can and turned off Nortons and windows firewalls/virus protection.
