Well... I see that my post almost worked...
It has my topic heading but not the content of my message which was....
Hey guys...
I'm on the cusp of buying a new machine...
My question is who to buy from.
It looks like I can get a pretty good bang for the buck from guys like Cyberpower and ibuypower... but my conscern is this.
I've gone to cnet to check out their reviews... and well it makes me uneasy. The "Pro" reviews from the cnet staff always say what a great deal these guys are, but when you read the personal reviews its a flame-fest.
Bad customer service, poor assembly, etc.
Now, I'm not the most tech savy guy in the world...I mean I get by, but I don't have the skills to assemble a rig from scratch. So when I read that stuff I get a little freaked.
So what's the word on the street? Has anyone here had good luck with ibuypower or cyberpower? Or am I doomed to the likes of Dell? (Yes I own a dell... and I must admit its a champ, but I really want to go with an AMD machine and they just don't do it)
Any thoughts guys? ( I want to keep the budget around $1300 and I want to go with a PCI-E card.)
Thanks for your thoughts-
