GT Challenge week 8
« on: May 03, 2005, 01:35:05 PM »
Okay, I've got an ear infection & a good amount of dizzyness, so something easy & fun for the masses this week.

Track: Fuji '80s
Car: Open - bring the fastest, grippiest bucket you own.
Mods: Anything goes.
Budget: Unlimited.

So far I've put down...
56.201 Polyphony Formula Gran Turismo (I figured out that last turn finally)
57.741 @ 268 mph - Audi R8 (1048hp, tuned everything, R1 tires)

55.042 - invalid for the challenge, no ballast, Toyota GT-One. just for my own amusement.

OVERALL STANDINGS
1 Funkypants 41 PTS
2 Swoop 39 PTS
3 Indy007 38 PTS
4 Nuchpatrick 17 PTS
5 Takeda 9 PTS
6 Saudaukar 9 PTS
7 CavemanJ 7 PTS
8 Talyn 6 PTS
9 Heretik 5 PTS
10 Frenchy 5 PTS
11 GtoRA2 3 PTS
12 Newguy 2 PTS
13 DrDea 1 PTS
14 Funkypants' Dad 1 PTS

Hrmph. Wont let me delete the other post.

I wouldn't doubt it. I can turn a consistent 57.5 w/o the ballast. If it were a longer track I think my R8 could keep up better (shift into 6th @ 204mph, accelerate to 280+ mph on Sarthe II.)

The scary part is when my roommate's brother shows up. He races shifter karts. He smoked me by over a second, and has maybe 10% of the milage I put on this car.

Toyota Minolta Race car ('89).  Max everything.  1184bhp.

After fixing a few minor gearing & grip difficulties......55.202.

It'll come down lots.

ya know.....this may be mildly unfair to those who havn't won something really fast or had the time to run the rally course cheat 20 times in order to gain the 4.5m cr needed for a top of the range race car.......

We need to decide when to reset the scoreboard.....

What do you guys think, first to 100 pts wins the championship, then reset back to zero again?

4.5 mill???  Jebus Im sittin on 5 mill in credits and dont have a car that cant win its class in the game. Now you human mo fo's are a diffrent matter. You guys are crazy:D   And that nitro sure can make a diff.   103.994 in the BMW mclaren.Lots of room for improvement.Im  trying to beat this without the F1 cause that 24 hr race to get it under B2 is a mother in its self.
