Dora deluge

Since the 190s are the most recent revamp we are going to be awash in them until the next plane gets remade. Anyhow, adding on to the pile of current Dora skins...a remake of the "Yellow 10" I did for the old ones:

I think your colors are off on the underside. The white area you have is actually BMF on the model on Bud's site. Also he uses more of a faded lichblua or a grey underside, you have that green/grey (never sure of its name, maybe Hellblau?)

And... this is purely a suggestion, take it or leave it, but take the layer that has the brown camo stripes on the fuselage, and try playing with the layer options. Try reducing the opacity (if it's 100%, try 80%) or the filtering ("Normal" is usually best, but sometimes luminosity or multiply can be good).

I actually like the way that looks, though, and am going back to edit my 190A to reduce the rivets so they are more like yours.

The part I think you are talking about on the underside of the wings is supposed to be bare aluminum. What I did was a gradated fill of very pale blue (almost white) to less pale blue. Depending on the specularity and light source it either looks REAL good or kinda weird.

Regarding the brown; do you think it is too dark? I ask becuase it "should" be opaque. I have some paint chips in Photoshop for various RLM numbers that I used, unfortunately they don;t always translate accurately when converted from PSD to BMP then to JPG, plus when the light hits the model you can get a hundred different reflections. But that brown I used is supposedly an accurate representation of RLM-83. The others in this are RLM-76/75/81. I had to lighten up on the RLM-75 considerably on the underside of the wings, it just looked WAY too dark there, maybe I should do the same on the RLM-83, do you think?

I have found the paint chips a bit dark, because they are flat. You have to eye-ball it, so that it looks right. That's what I'm doing on my A-5 right now.

Yes, I think your brown is a tad dark. An easy way it so lessen opacity a tad. You can't see any details through it at 80% but it lightens the colors just a shade. Or select the entire layer, do modify > image > variations and just hit "lighter" once or twice on the "fine" detail setting.

EDIT: Clarification: I'm talking about the ones on the sides of the tail, that appear almost black. The brown on the cowl guns, the wings etc is spot-on. The stuff on the tail looks closer to black for some reason.

EDIT 2: You know what? Disregard.. it might justbe that one screenshot's angle/lighting. Can you provide a better SS of the side of the tail? better lit, better view? That might solve the problem of the "faulty eyes" once and for all.
