Beginning tomorrow:

28 MPG, round trip daily is 34 miles.(do the conversion yourself, I'm tired...)

Comes out to 6 gallons a week, or, at current gasoline prices in the US, about 9 dollars a week.

91 accord 5 speed 218000 klicks on the odo.

i get about 10L/100KM mixed driving,and i'm a little heavy on the accelerator  :)

so about 550 KM out of a 55 litre tank
lasts me just about 2 weeks at about 25-35$ per fill up

btw current price on gas in montreal is about 75 cents a litre. but the price varies wildly, during the last month it has gone as low as 63 cents to as high as 89 cents for regular/87 octane.

None of your business what I drive and how much gas I use.  Free markets drive what people drive and the amount of gas they use!!!

Toyota Celica 1.8 1996

10Km/liter

80 km roundtrip a day for work

2.100 ITL/liter (bout 0.95 US $ I guess).

It's 8 liters * 2.100 = 16.800 ITL a Day

ehm... cruise speed going at work 200 km/h

Nissan Micra 97 1.0

Average consumption has always been almost exactly 6 liters per 100 km. I would consider that economic and better be, with the price of gas in Finland.

2001 Toyota Prius (gas/electric Hybrid)

Have never calculated the actual per mile cost but according to Toyota it gets 60mpg on the Highway and 63mpg in the city.

Truck 1        16 to 17 MPG
Car 1          35 to 38 MPG
motorcycle     40 to 44 MPG
1958 Comanche  16 to 17 MPG @ 120 to 130 knots.

All but the car are older vehicles (ie PAID FOR).

To be honest, the Comanche is the most fun but ya really can't commute to work in a plane often.   :)

8.5 around town
11 downhill with a tailwind
filled up yesterday $66 (but it wasn't empty)

the Royal Enfield gets well over 60 mpg, and is the short haul (to far to walk and don't feel like saddeling up) vehicle of choice.

OOps! forget it the thread is about cars, sorry.  ;)

My new Subary is about 25-28 mpg. Also I've kept the old 95' Civic for small trips - it gets over 30 mpg.

Also my thermostats are set to 60F in the winter (55 when the house is empty).

No reason to waste natural resources and enrich undemocratic hostile regimes.

65 GTO, rebuilt motor mechanic checking numbers it's SUPPOSED to be a 400 CI, but it's been taking 455 CI parts.
