I thought Cit was doing one. Let me get the two I'm working up finished and I'll tackle a 84, there are many cool ones out there but they just don't seem to be very well documented compared to US and ETO warbirds, at least in any language I can read or have translated that is.

I still plan on doing one, been trying to get the hang of the plane in the MA though. The climb is amazing, the dive is HORRIBLE. Rudder authority is okay at high speed but between 150-220 or so it is about the worst of any plane I can think of. It can turn well below 150, but at normal furball speeds it is really pretty poor. The Jap cannons suck, but it is good on fuel consumption.

Trying to wing with kwan a lot in them. He and I loved it in WB when it came out, if you see us up join in!

Bah! Ki84 is like the most uber spit ever. It's more of a helicopter than the SpitV and N1k2 combined! And realistically so!, not like gamey bad FM so.

Guns are great because you get good ammo for the 50cals and decent package for the 20mms. At speed this baby can catch up to anything. It handles great in a dive (just don't pull Gs!) if you're trying to catch a diving hellcat or something. Once you slow down (say about 250 or so) you can really put the hurt on others. Ki84 is the plane to fly if you're sick of P38s zooming or looping you to death. Because it climbs and zooms just as good (climbs better, in fact!). Keep flying it. You'll get used to it.

Edbert,

If you fly with Combat Trim on, turn it off for the Ki-84.  Combat Trim kills its high speed elevator authority.

Like Karnak says, trim the elevators neutral or higher when you plan to do some high speed maneuvering.

If you're planning to do just a pure high speed, straight forward chase, then you have to trim the elevs down. The plane will refuse to dive over 400mph with elev trim at neutral, and it will pitch up automatically. Even full stick forward can't keep the nose down.

i love furballing in it.  put nose down and accelerates well, zooms like nobodies buisness, then if need be, get real slow and out turn dang near anything.  cannons is one thing im not to sure of yet, some planes they shred others...well  i may as well be shooting spit wads at. :(
