Things got really sad
« on: May 06, 2005, 05:40:28 PM »
Went to a GV base, VHs all down so I jumped in the manned ack.

2 friendly panzers defending base.
What did they do?
As soon as the B24 turned back they drove to base to land their combined 0 kills leaving the base undefended.

Can't remember your names, but do the Bish a favour, go to another country.

Kev it's not just the bish, it's everywhere.  Same senerio, 2 friendlies on base, only thing holding us back from taking base was 2 ack guns. Not only would they not engage the acks, but whey stayed hidden behind bldgs, all in the name of possibly losing their kills

Never did take the base, couldn't get reinforcements in before it was too late :(

Oh well, what do ya do??

I guess thats a plus for people like me who dont drive GV's often.  I've been trying it more lately because I figure if I'm going to gripe about them I might as well have experience to back it up.  Besides that, I've been in a severe slump and to be blunt I stink up the air when I try to fly lately, so the ground war has been a refreshing break.  I had a great laugh last night charging at a manned ack in my Panzer and weaving back and forth trying to hit him before he could kill me.

I still think GV's are dweeb-rides for the most part, but they do have their moments.

Nobody made me supreme commander, was a suggestion.
That kind of 'defence' its no wonder we lose some bases so easily.

not everyone cares about "winning the war", sounds to me like there was nothing to fight there so they exit?

All commanders are elected using the Red Rover system. :D

What a trauma! You should seek professional counseling!!!
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

There wasn't?
Thats why a 2 panzers and m3 arrived literally within minutes of them exiting. Got the 1st panzer to appear with the manned ack, couldn't get the second :(.
Was obvious after the VHs went down a gv attack was coming.

Guess they just wanted to land their combined 0 kills.
