You could put every WWII A/C that ever flew in the game and you guys would still complain and still fly the same 5 or 6 A/C over & over.  I'd put money on that one.

Its a 1943 model T34 facing a 1943 model Panzer IV armed with a long 75mm that came out in 1942.

What you are asking for is a 1944 85mm gun arnmed T34 to fight a Panzer IV armed with a 1942 gun. And the T34 would still be faster and have even more armor than the current T34...

The first T-34/85s entered service in 1943.  It was not in response to the Panther, but rather the Panzer IV with the 75mm/L42 cannon and the Tiger I.

Further calling this T-34 a 1943 T-34 as opposed to a 1942, or even a 1941, T-34 is disengenous as from the stand point of this gae it changed unnoticably in that time period.  It is a T-34/76 and while it certainly did face Panzer IV Hs and Tiger Is (although I'm not sure the Tiger was actually 99.5% immune to it in reality) it makes for a hangar queen in a game.  We need some competitive tanks.  What we have is a 262 eqivilent (Tiger I), an unperked F4U-1C equivilent (Panzer IV H) and a P-40E equivilent (T-34).

We need more choices that are competitive at the top end of the free tanks along with the Panzer IV H.  The T-34/85 is one of those.  Possibly the 76mm Sherman too.  Those three tanks should be the top end free tanks.  Then add in some perk tanks like the Panther V G, IS-2, Pershing and Firefly.

Did HTC really add the T-34/76 as a 'match' for a Panzer IV E we have?

 I've always thought they were just a bit lighter choice of tanks to choose from.. like, when you need to move around quick, make a dash from the spawn point, quickly clear the coastlines of LVTs, dish out the AA GVs at an enemy field and stuff - you choose the T-34.. and for more normal operations, the Panzer4 would be preferred.. and etc etc..

HT stated th T34/85 will come out with the Panther. If you read about the two i'll take the Panther. Panther gun was more powerful that the Tiger 88 that we have and Panther had 4inch slopped  frontal armour. The t-34 even with 85mm only had 2 and 1/2 inch slopped armour. 75mm Panther could penetrate more armour than Tiger or 85 mm T-34. the T-34 was faster than the Panther, 34mph t-34, 29mph Panther. The 88mm King tiger gun and the Russian stalin 122mm were top guns in tanks in ww2. So if u want a Killer russian tank it would have to be the Stalin 2. Disadvantage of Stalin 2/3 tanks only fired 2 rounds a minute. It was a navy gun originally so u had to load bullet and powder charge seperate.

i end saying, more plane more gvs the more we have to choose from the better.

if u really want a tank that will not survive in the Ma. that will be the shermans.. even the firefly shermans could only kill panthers and tigers with side or rear shots. Max penetration of regular sherman was 66mm a little over 2 inchs at 500 yards.

I can totally understand a common ground compromise... add a few planes, add a GV.   But 100% GV, 100% anti-air, thats farkin ridiculous.

You could put every WWII armored vehicle that ever drove in the game and you guys would still complain and still drive the same 5 or 6 vehicles over & over.  I'd put money on that one.

What needs to be done is open a second arena just for ground vehicles. Take something with no real player support, like the CT, build some GV terrains (Kursk, whatever) and turn you boys loose to clank all over in peace.

It'd be doing both sides a favor. Well, all three sides.
