« on: May 08, 2005, 03:01:16 PM »
Well, Ive reached the goal of every cadet in the program. Last night at the military ball for all services I was promoted offically to CPO (Cheif Petty Officer) I am now the highest ranking cadet in my division of about 150. Only took 4 years. :D

Congrats, Chief!
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

I just initiated the application for my school's military program. I hope I can attain similar results.

We arnt a highschool program. True you must be 14 years old to join, but my highschool does not run it. It is a seperate  program completly. We are also reconized by the Marines and the Navy, I start off in the Navy as an E-3, the Marines a E-2. Our program also hs alot higher standards then highschool NJROTC. The program also offers more trianings including  SEAL school (I can list tons more if wanted). The program is also worldwide. I know besides the United States theres divisions in Canada, England, and Australia.

Congrats, You've had a snmall taste. The real deal is still out there ahead of you if you're willing to work for it.

Sea Cadets?

BTW we had extremely high standards..maybe the program as a whole doesn't ,but we did and did quite a bit of stuff too..and NJROTC also gets the E-3 Navy/ E-2 Marines deal.

Why..so you can be trained to have a "Holier than thou, I went to college so I'm better than you" attitude..so no matter how much the guy doing the same job for the past 20 years knows..you can tell him he is wrong just because you've been trained not to admit you are wrong...so you can be despised by the men you are supposed to lead..or because you like to kiss prettythang every chance you get to try to further your career..and refuse to take responsibility when things go wrong. Those are the makings of just about every Naval officer I've ever met..though I hear they are slightly better in the other services.

I advice you be careful what you say around a USMC officer, if this is the wide blank you cover military leadership with.

Take it easy on him.  Part of his ROTC training included a course on how to be a part of Bush's war staff.
