Need Pop-Culture Question Answered...
« on: May 09, 2005, 03:05:55 PM »
Went to the mall with the lads yesterday (which is always a depressing experience for me, but thats another discussion) and whilst navigating through the parking lot/Gangsta Rappapaloozas I noticed at least 2 guys, both wearing 2 T-Shirts with their left arm out of the sleeve hole so that the shirt appeared to be half on, half off. I saw another guy doing the same thing inside the mall.

Is this a new Thug fashion trend or just a wild coincidence or did they run out of money before completing the entire "putting on a T-Shirt" correspondance class?

I didn't think it could get dumber than white suburban kids sporting bling and do-rags but you never know...

It's not new.

...but I agree. They look silly. Some of these infantile "styles" practically scream for a comment. I think that's the aim. It's like walking around with a chip on your shoulder.

The answer is that when it comes to humans, Darwin was wrong.  Human evolution does not go to higher order because survival of the fittest through natural selection is no longer the order of the day.

Instead the second law of thremodynamics dominates; entropy increases through the sucessive generations.  Our species is getting randomly dumber.  That is why the kids at the mall do not know how to dress themselves.

You ever see those suckas that walk like teletubbies cause they don't know how to properly adjust a belt?  How about the ones that having a vocabulary of a 5 year old makes them gangsta?

I commented on a retarded fashion once.  Almost got my bellybutton kicked for it.

I passed a guy in a dorm hallway who was wearing his pants somewhere near his knees.  As I have an odd sense of humor sometimes, I thought it would be hilarious to tell him his fly was down -- technically, it was down... near his knees.

He didn't find it funny.  Or maybe didn't find it funny when I started laughing at my own joke.  Whatever.

Its just a theory that I happen to agree with.  Their message is more relevant now than when they first started back in the late 70s.

Ok, then for a limited time only, I will reveal how you, in the privacy of your own home, can achieve a state of TOTAL GANGSTA KOOL

Make sure you are wearing a T-Shirt. Are you ready? Then we'll begin.

1) First pull your left arm inside your T-Shirt

2) Next, take your right hand and lift up the left side of the T-Shirt till the bottom is resting on your left shoulder.

3) That be it. Your T-Shirt is now officially certified kool.

NOTE WELL: Make sure you be wearing a regular T-shirt under the "Certified Kool" T-Shirt when you go out as no one wants to see your belly-button or left bressum. That is not KOOL it is a "wardrobe malfunction."
