I has a similiar encounter in the MA with 86er the other night.  I was about 14k and encountered him around 12k flying a La7.  As soon as he saw me, he entered into a dive to the deck but I kept my altitude and turned for an interception angle.  As he was drawing closer because of the interception angle course I had set, I kicked in my WEP and unloaded my plane by pushing 0 Gs to accelerate my plane as fast as possible.  This allowed me to close and chase him as he kept on running to his base and friends.  I caught him as he tried to maneuver at tree level and quickly seperated his wing from his plane for the kill.  He then proceeded to launch a tirade about it on open channel.  Funny thing is, had he stayed level and didn't dive like he did I would have never had caught him.  By going into the dive he did, allowed me to set up a course to intercept him and unloading my plane at the right moment allowed me to gain the speed I needed to chase him down.

exactly ack-ack.

in any given situation you can very easily throw away a huge advantage just from a few seconds of pilot error.

hunglo, redrum  :D

S! mates!

still causing trouble? hehe

Uber Doltz rule!

but ya wrong about the lala5 :)  it is rather uber :) more so than a spit5 because it affords the advantage of escape.

My two favorite planes at the moment are the P40E and the P47D11

for once you yanks made a few planes that rock :)

oh...the P38 and F4u are pretty neat too i spose.

pony is garbage! :p

Are you on crack?  The la5 is a better plane than the La7 IMO.  Uber Russian rocket that pwns in the vertical and can totally dominate a fight with anything up to the late war monsters.  An la5 should whup a spitV if the pilots are equal.

Not saying anything about anyone else, fly what you want, just my personal ethics.

LOL ethics...

Maybe one day, players like you will get a clue that it's not the plane but the pilot.  After all, it's the pilot that tells the plane what to do, not vice versa.
