Cedar Point's management is currently obsessed with strange, not particularly fun rollercoasters of two main types:
The really tall, really boring ones, and the really loopy twisty yet boring ones with some gimmick (no bottom on the cars, or force the riders to stand up, etc). There ARE a few traditional, FUN rollercoasters in the place, but not a huge number of them. Also, expect massive lines for these strange and un-fun rides. In a surprisingly typical case, you might wind up waiting 1-2 hours in line for a 10-20 second ride.
I used to go 1-3 times a year since I live in easy driving distance, but no more.
If you haven't been there before, or not int he last 20 years, it's worth the trip--especially if you dodge the rides with the super long lines.
