Hate to ask this because I'm sure it's been posted a million times but what the hell. Is there a safe and easy way to stop running processes in the background. Everytime I think I can shut one down, something in the OS doesn't work after turn my system back on. This mainly happens with MS procersses. Anybody got a good working list?
Oh, yea,  my system, Intel P-4, 512 Ram, Nivida G force Vid card, XP pro etc.
