The best thing to do is to pull it off with tweezers, and put it imbetween two pieces of tape.

Too much trouble... kill'em by wrestling the tick on to your thumbnail, then use your other thumbnail to crush it's head.  Quick and easy!  I am a proffessional

OOh just pull the damn things off!

Grab them as close to the head as you can and with a steady pressure pull em out.
Unless theyve been there fore a few days and had a chance to really burrow in at which point they will have swelled up to the size of a small marble  they pull out pretty easy and usually take a really small chunk of flesh with em.

Then just keep an eye out for symptoms

When you come from a day afield in tick country, pour a cup of bleach in your bath water.  That seems to deter the little buggers...and redbugs as well.

By the way...why do redbugs always head straight for your apple?

The worst thing about ticks is their seemingly unlimited ability to bloat out indefinately as they suck blood.

 A tick the size of a fingernail might grow as large as the size half your palm..

 Blechhh!! Disgusting things...

WTF is wrong with all of you? in 32 years on this planet, mostly in Wisconsin and upper michigan, with travles to all but 7 states, and hiking in some of those states i have never encountered 1 single tic on my person.

get a cleaner lifestyle people LOL

oh and sorry, im not up on my obscure references to areas of my anamoty... WTF is the "frenulum"??@?!?!?!?!

I remember pulling several DOZEN off of my namesake and avatar's  body and ears   after she was dumped out of a pick-up truck as a puppy at Dale Hollow Lake seven years ago.
