Man blown away on TV live

Yesterday I was watching one of our normal police chases. In Long Beach Ca, an armed man tried to evade police and stooped his vehicle in a shopping parking lot. With the news copter zoomed in it captured him with gun in hand being riddled with bullets as he feel to the ground. Then they sent the dog in and it tore him some. He died at hospital, but he looked dead at the scene.

Too bad we can't get more footage like that- it might do a world of good for some of our aspiring young criminal element to see what can happen if you steal cars, lead police on a 45 minute chase, and then pull a gun on them.

Good job and a big <> to the police officers who took this perp out.

I remember about 10 years or so ago they used to have live news feeds on satellites and one I watched was when a guy was fleeing the police and he eventually stole a truck with a girl in it and ran over an officer.

The news helicopter followed the whole thing and when the police lost the guy the news copter tried to raise the police on the radio but couldn't so the pilot decided to get in front of the truck so he couldn't get away.

When the police caught up they shot the sh|t out of the guy and after they pulled the girl out of the truck one deputy stuck a shotgun in the door and fired point blank.

The guy was probably already dead but they weren't taking any chances.
I have been reborn a new man!

Obviously the Long Beach cops spend some time at the range.

Unlike their Compton counterparts.

Idiot.

Or as a student in my 4th grade class pronounced it when asking the teacher what it meant......eye-dot.

She told him she was looking at one :D

Well if hes lying in the truck with who the hell knows how many holes in him, aint a doctor in the world gonna save him. Plus some people like those on drugs function still when they should be dead.

if i remember correctly or maybe this was another, the p/u was a sorta lime green 70's ford. the hostage was an old geezer, and they started to plug the driver even before the old timer was yanked out of the truck.

that was a kewl clip, and i think the first of its kind.

anyone that flees the scene in a vehicle endangering others should be shot on the spot, or at least severely beaten king style.

I agree. In this case the deputy that fired a shotgun at an already wounded criminal went to far.
