ToD is Tour of Duty

a new version of AH comming out. it is sketchy from this recent news, but in the past the plan was a role based sim. you will go through flight school, training, all that, then fly in actual missions. if you get shot down you are down, and possibly reduced in rank.

get killed too many times and you have to start all over in tarining.

you will be either axis or allied, and the missions will be somewhat historical types.

basically no "free flying" and you take off only at designated times and all that.

that's pretty much the "gist" of it. and yes the MA will still be there, this will be a whole new game alltogether.

I liked the part about spinning off new variants from the P51 and P47.  Some folks might just be getting some wishes filled this time around.  I dont fly either one that much, but it bodes well for future updates if it goes right.

Did anyone else catch the idea that the Con will be pushed back 6 months, with one reason being HTC thinks a greater number of ToD enthusisasts may attend? Is this a hint that ToD may be done before then?

believe me P-51s and P-47s gaps are already filled. That goes for the P-38 too.

imo 109s remake should come after they remake P-47s/P-51s (i think they should add Bf-109G-14)

i also think they need to add at least one more spitfire like Marks VII or VIII
