Take a TBM, load 50% fuel, a 2k bomb and 6 rockets. Select Attack mode. Fly to nearest enemy base, drop a hanger or kill a few GVs. Should the enemy defend with fighters, a major shock is coming when they discover that a light TBM can turn with an FM-2. It dives well, zoom climbs like crazy (its steady rate climb is at least as good as a P-40B or F4F-4 when light), and its stall characteristics are as benign as they come. With an ENY of 40, you can bring home some major perks (and seriously tweek a few egos).

I'd have to agree, out of the P-38s the G is the best to farm perk points.  The J generates a fair amount in its own right but the G is definitely the "perk farmer" of the bunch.

it'll get u more than the f4u-1, p-51B, p-38G and the only thing wrong with it is the mediocre gun pacage. It can turn with spit9's if yer good and it can chase down tempests if ur luky enuf

C.202....:D

Just take 2 guns
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

P-40, take a bomb to a gv filled area. Find a nice target and drop. Once bombs away,  single out m8s, m16s, m3s and fire at them from above 45 degrees or there abouts. Even if you dont kill it, and stay in the area, a friendly gv may kill it, giving you the kill.

Does anyone know why a preposition is a not a proper word to end a sentence with?

Or if the situations not too tight: Hurr Mk1.

Those 303s can make a surprisiing lot of damage from d150. And belive me, at first *noone* takes a Hurri 1 on his six serious. (i recommend upgrading to 2c after 15 mins - people will learn eventually ;))

Hurri MkI or Spit MkI.  Both are extremely lethal at convergence setting range.  8 x .303 will shred a wing off any plane in the set (save maybe an Il-2) with a 1 second burst if you hit them at convergence range.  Did this twice yesterday in a Spit MkI to later model Spits (only got one kill though, the other gave me an assist dangit).

Finally, I broke thru the 200 fighter perk barrier.  Then the cost of Me 262s went up to 221.  Dang it!  :p

P-38G/J and the Mossie worked best for me.

Mossie is a really fast ride, even with internal and ext ordinance (preferrably those rockets...great for tank busting).

Only thing I can do in a 190 is make the stall horn chirp.

This might sound silly, but if you want to ease into learning the FWs, start flying the F-8.  It's slower than a Dora, and doesn't have the most lethal guns package of the FW family, but it still flys and dives like a FW, while being a little more stable.  Plus its a pretty tough nut to crack.  Once you are comfortable fighting in an F-8, all the others are just a step away.  Not that I'm much good in em either, but at least I can do more than just make em stall now.  I've actually gotten several kills recently in the A-5 and a few in the A-8.
