The rolleyes pertained to the fact that if I didn't see it till Monday and I use the BBS frequently and I'm (obviously) also interested in the subject, how would most people find out about it.

It will be a failure as HT wishes it to be  ie: basically a waste of time. I do appreciate the effort though.

Drop in and check out the set up and give me some input if you have time. Im changing some things and using a differant map right now. Im not too sure it will work very well until we get a dedicated map though. But we'll try anyway:aok

Do plan to try it Slash. Thanks for trying to implement it. What I'd like to see is what I stated but you might get pretty close.

Was a blast. Map makes it a bit difficult but it was still fun. There were 24 when I left and even the usual CT guys were having fun. If I could make a map for it I would. Thanks again Slash.

Yeah it is sweet.

The bases are so close that I couldnt tell what was shooting at me... The ack or the dozens of red planes.

But its a very good way to scrub up on that S/A for one, and everything else that comes with fighting.

I had my doubts, but it might work. :)

The axis vs allies thing was a good idea.... Made all the difference.

I was a blast for me slash. TYVM.

I managed over 10 K/T and that was with a lot of dying. The early war bases were too close, I think one field gun was shooting at the other. Also the puffy stuff was bad over there, but nobody got over 3K to get shot at much. The axis planeset wasn't very fair for the early war set, maybe if the P40E and the F4F weren't there...I don't know.

Just popped in there, early war bases, grabbed a zeke and took off. Spent the first 5 mins chasing a p40 who missed a cherry pick, then flew back and forth through his puffy ack til someone else showed up to help him. Had 2 fun fights, spent the rest of the time dodging a group of p40s trying to cherry pick those who did engaged. To break the monotony of picking, they tried to vulch.

I like the setup, I love the theory, but the idiots are still the biggest variable. I'd suggest a lower cap, more ack, and more separation of the earlywar bases. Keep tinkering, though, it is appreciated.

Had complaints from Allies about everyone flying Zekes.  But given the buzzard P40Es described by Edbert and hub, I think it works out okay.  Just ended up with the F4Fs and Hurris getting ganged by Zekes which in turn got cherry picked by P40s.

One request:

Get rid of puffy ack.  Complaints on both sides about that stuff.  Just got in the way.

Thanks for the work,

righty

Was frantic fun! Get into the fight 20 seconds after being shot down.  Had to take periodic breaks it was so hectic.  I would describe it as cherry picking the guy who is cherry picking the guy who is cherry picking the guy while being cherry picked by the guy who is being cherry picked by the guy who is being cherry picked. I think the trees had the highest K/D.

Some things never change; in the mad swirling fights there were still complaints about HOs and ganging, but the communications where generally good natured and amiable.  Definitely not the place for one on ones or fair fighting but it was much fun for a change.

I like the historical setups a lot but have no problem with mixing in some furballing setups.  I like the MA, DA as well, occasionally play H2H and even enjoy the TA when there’s good stick in there to dance with.  I guess I’m just easy, I like variety and FT provides just one more flavor of fun.

Another variation would be to do this type of setup with “interesting” 2 plane match ups.  2 different planes that are just a good fun match. Maybe even a night of Jet v Jet. Oh, and if at all possible lose the puffy ack.
