I was getting the screen freeze up problem(at the worst times too), especially when I would push the vox button, strangely enough. One time I had 3 ME163's on my tail in a 234,hit the vox to let my buddies know I was bringing some friends back to the base and I was booted! They must have thought I hit the alt F4 thing(or whatever combo makes you leave the game) which I'm sure didn't sit well...
Anyway I simply updated my version of DirectX from the Microsoft website to 9.0. I didn't realize I had an old version which would allow the game to play but with the afformentioned problems.
After the download,install and reboot it is much improved.
Might be a simple fix for many players. Just thought I'd pass it on.
