I am having a friendy discussion with a former "advesery" from the cold-war here. We were on both sides and in the navy.

He served in the northern fleet and my task was basicly to track his kind down.

he is a very polite and funny person, but his english really sucks.

i need translation help, so i thought of boroda

Do you want me to type it Rusian? If so.....

"У тебя есть ограничения минимальной дистанции до Свалбарда?"

This is as simple as posble, there are  tons of different ways you can say that.Let me know if it helps or doesnt.

To be correct:

Были ли у вас ограничения по минимальной дистанции сближения с Свальбардом.

My version of translation: "Были ли у вас ограничения по поводу того, как близко вы можете подходить к Свальбарду?".

A line above isn't a translation ;)
