Every day, should involve flying...flying in the Pittz most of all.

Mars and I went up today, and I took some pics. He took me through his aerobatic routine... Made me grey out alot, and basicly kicked the crap out of me for an hour in the air. Was a hell of a time!

Thought I'd post some of the pics for you to enjoy.

Im positive I saw the Saugy and Shelton Reservoir...Also looked like terrain around oxford and meriden markham...Mars- where are you located out of? Im out of KBDR. If you are local id be more than willing to pay for the wet rate of flight plus some extra to go through your routine...let me know...(MikeOH58@aol.com) If not no worries....

Morph- pretty cool man, sounds like you enjoyed yourself....When are you coming up with me? you think a couple g's and aerobatics in a pitts is fun! try a catII ILS to mininums with me! haha!

That was around oxford, new milford, fairfield southbury area.. I'm sure we passed over my house, but we were dodging 109s and 190s errr I mean I just couldnt find it.

The 4 or 5 G's arent bad during say, a loop... But you deffinatly felt them going into a gold fish, then a loop and then imelmen all at once... I forget the order mars' routine is in now. But we did a few sets all at once, and it was basicly 4 or 5 G's almost the entire time with a very short break here and there when they backed down a bit. Kinda liked the grey outs tho...

That old guy who had the cub is the coolest old guy I ever met. He came over the radio when we met up... Asking mars if he made me puke yet... lol

And you couldnt ask for a better day.

That was the Sportsman known, routine for 05 Morph.

cav58d your on bud, you just have to get to Danbury(DXR). Count me in on the CatII approach

, that has to be sick.

The practice area we were using was over Bantam. There is a nice large area there. It runs from Mohawk ski area to the old Johny Cake(Mountain Medow) down to Bantam Lake.

Great shots too Morph. The shot of DXR abeam of the numbers is awsome and the sequence from that point turning final is nice, we needed one more as we came over the fence

Wild thing with the Pitts is you never even get into the valley for 35, that is unless you are #2 looking

Cool pics! Is that a Pitts S2B? I never flew the B, only the S2A/260hp.

After 30 mins of aerobatics, I felt like my head was coming out of my arse. In Morph's case, his head IS his arse!

Hey Beet,

Yeah that is a B. The B model has the 260HP IO540, the A model has the AEIO360 200HP engine.

Unless the A was retrofitted with a 540 or the 360 was worked to the hilt you flew the 200hp version. Same plane for the most part after that though.

Hmph I thought my TB10 had the O-360 engine, and that was a 180hp motor.

Yeah they can pump it up to almost 200HP. If you get the high compression Helicopter pistons you can pump the 0360 up to 225.

Pitts S1C Single seat, fixed pitch prop, 85 - 180 hp. Two ailerons,
flat bottom wing.
Pitts S1D Single seat, fixed pitch prop, 85 - 180 hp. Four ailerons,
flat bottom wing. S1S fuselage (longer than S1C).
Pitts S1S Single seat, fixed pitch prop, 180 - 200 hp. Four ailerons,
symmetrical wing.
Pitts S1E Like S1S, but homebuilt (E for Experimental)
symmetrical wing.
Pitts S1T Single seat, constant speed prop, 200 hp and up
Pitts S2S Single seat, S2A fuselage, constant speed prop, 260 hp
Pitts S2A Two seat, constant speed prop, 200 hp
Pitts S2E Same as S2A but experimental
Pitts S2B Two seat, constant speed prop, 260 hp. Slighly larger
fuselage than S2A.
Pitts S2C Two seat, constant speed prop, 260 hp. Redesigned ailerons
and rudder.

Morph is a hell of a pilot. From the first day he rocked and rolled and took it, barely got sick. The last time out I threw the 05 sportsman at him and he didn't bat an eye lolh. Then we did a few more manuevers. I would say 15 or 20 all in all. I even greyed him out with a goldfish hahahaha. Greyed myself out the first time I did one this past Sunday hahahaha.

Anyone that remembers their first time doing this crap has to know you need to build a tolerance.

For a guy that has only flown a plane IRL once he has good instincts and feel and most important... No Fear lol.
