I have a sony 17 crt that i think is going out. It has hori lines that run across the screen so i think it going to burn up on me. What would be a good monitor? Our what would you look for. I live in a town that has a great used pc stuff all the time in the paper so i was think of a used one. People are getting new lcd monitors so their are many on the market. Would 21 be better?

a big flat screen (NOT LCD) Sony Trinitron would work really nicely for this game.

I think an LCD would be okay if it had a >16ms response time but I had to go back to CRT because of all the ghosting.

Hitachi SuperScan Elite 751 CRT (i.e. not LCD flat panel), 19" (18" viewable), max res 1600x1200, max refresh 160Hz, .22mm horiz. dot pitch, .14mm vert. dot pitch, tilt/swivel base

What about this one

that sounds excellent!

I really like a refresh rate around 85hz.

If I have 60 or 70 under flourescent lights it makes me want to have a seizure.
