I remember my older brother forcing me to read the damned book.  I was actually looking forward to seeing the movie but nobody ever talked about it and the trailers stopped playing.

So I guess it sucks.

I thought it was alright. I was entertained. I didn't expect it to be as good as the book, or even the series. You can only cram in so much content or else every book turned movie is going to be 5 hours long. They coulda spent alittle more time explaining the guide though.

The movie was ok, I was just let down by the characters.  None of them really "fit" to me, except Trillian and the voice for the ship's computer.  The Vogons were pretty good.  Zaphod was only about half as good as I hoped he would be.  Ford and Arthur both blew chunks.  Even the robot was bad.  How depressing.

I liked it too.  I am about to get the book from the library and read it for the first time though.  I think movies from books are better if you havnt read the book.
