Most of the people are showin up because it's a night time battle.

The battle was derived from a actual event that took place during night time hours.

Your call though.

My first time in a snapshot and it was a blast! At least once we got past the invisablility issue. Did both sides have that or was it just the allies?

I also liked the pre dawn start but didn't get to see much of that due to everybody having their cloaking devices on and upping into a spawn camp at the beginning.

However, being the first GV snapshot, problems are now known and should only get better from here.

:aok

Glad you enjoyed it. The spawn camping was a problem and for now we will have the Allies spawn from the hanger and not give the Axis a 10 minute window. Hopefully this will stop the temptation to spawn camp

Thanks to all who participated and for all the ideas and thoughts on how to improve the event :)

to 1HUNGLO for creating the first ever GV Snapshot. Also a to 68KO and 68Falcon for a fine job administrating the event. As CO of the Axis I apologize for setting the skirmish line too close to the enemy spawn point. My fault, I didn’t realize that my group was that close. When I looked at our position on the clipboard it showed us as half way to the enemy spawn point. Other than that and a few tanks hanging up in the trees on start up I think the event was a big success and I am looking forward to the next one – maybe the “Battle of Kursk” or the “Defense of Moscow.”
