Yep was a good game. I have the Unfinished Business add-on if you want to it. Its as good as the JA2 game but very different. You loose your laptop right off the bat and you end up in a huge firefight in the first three squares you travel through. Getting through that is a bastage but thats probably the hardest part. Let me know if you want it and I'll make you a deal on it. You pay $5  and I'll cover the shpping/postage.

I had a blast with JA1, I had a blast with X-com (very similar).

I had a mega hard on with JA2. BTW, did u select the Sci-Fi campaign or regular? (Sci-Fi adds a twist).

I didn't have much problem with Unfinished Business, it was silly short.

JA3 is supposed to be in 3D.

In the genre, if you come accros Fall Out 2, take it.

X-COM....just there mear sight of those 4 letters brings a tear to my eye.  What a great game.  I loved seeing those cows in various states of experimentation.  I bet PETA had a cow when they saw that.

Great game...

If you like that kind of games, check out
Silent Storm and addon Sentinels(:aok).

WW2 theme
3d graphics
completley destoyable enviroments
ragdoll physics (or so it seems)
etc.

Yeah I do have unfinished business. It came in a box set.

Yeah the first two xcoms were great. You can't find games with that kind fo complexity in stores anymore. Seems like all the best games are only available as downloads. Games like OFP, combat mission, aces high, dangerous waters. The only exception I can think of would be the EQ type games, and those are largely composed of downloaded components.

Most pc games nowadays are just version of console games that you can play on your computer.

You can find your older turn based tactical games here.

You may need this program to run them properly.

X-Com a simple recovery mission, gone awry. A bunch of n00bs land at night next to a downed UFO. PFC. Fife walks around a tree and get sniped by an alien in that two storie farm house. your whole squad opens up. finally nails him after turning the farmhouse into blazng swiss cheese.  2 more privates walk forward and take it for the squad. and you arent even in the UFO yet, and casualitys are mounting. X-Com was the game...

Agree, I'm not much for RPG type games though. Fallout Tactics was a great game.
