I'm pretty certain the poster of the negative commentary regarding..

'You said that the reason US soldiers are involved in so many incidents and Norwegian soldiers aren't is because US soldiers aren't as well educated.'

...was not Nils. I believe it was GSchmuck, in GScmucks 'why can't GI's behave' thread. I recall that the comment (and others he penned) ticked me off also; and I *ahem* embarked on a nasty little ill-considered smear campaign with Norway as the focus.

The good side is Skuzzy nailed his hide to the wall and pinned my ears back for the goading.. the bad side is it raised a ruckus that splattered over some folks undeserving of the negative diatribes.

Hope you'll accept my apologies for the confusion, I paint with a very wide brush at times...

There has been some confusion, but the statement was mine.

However..

The sentance was not like the one Wotan posted and it had to be seen in the propper context. I belive it was the second post in the deleted thread.

I will say this tho. i made an error when i spoke first before i was sure that i could re-find the the text i was referring to and that is my bad, so Wotan... imn sorry about that one.

Now, gawdammit; wot on earth would lead yah believe (beyond the fact that our 'no child left behind' education system is a debris field of unmitigated failure) that Sven Schmalenvoork outta Oslo is any better educated than Joe Blow; a high school graduate from Atlanta?

What I wrote kinda makes little sense if its recreated here and out of context. It was not a flame or bash of anything at all and how it was seen as that by _one_ persion i dont know.

Anyway.. the thread was deleted and prolly for a reason so maybe it should stay burried.

I didn't care anything about not seeing the quote. I only brought it up because you made some comment after having to wait 30 min for my reply in the last thread. I thought it funny because it had been 2 days and I still didn't see that quote of yours.

But you did say that the reason US soldiers were involved in abuse incidents and Norwegian soldiers were not was because Norwegian soldiers were better educated. I don't know about the 'context' because your reply was just 2 sentences. One was as I just described and the other a qualifier about not meaning to insult.

It's water under the bridge now as Skuzzy locked and/or deleted both threads.

I will give him a break and avoid commenting further in this one...

Im sorry Wotan, but you are mistaken, got it wrong or I missed a comma or somthing that made it sound different than intended. The context however is important
