Anyone tested Spit V's max speed lately in AH2?

I agree. No aircraft should accelerate while diving. Even a chimpanzee with a very basic grasp of physics would realize this. Since we have no other late war, relatively rare aircraft, the UFO Mk V should be perked. I think 2 perk points should be more than enough to limit the useage of this abomination.

He want complaining about it accelerating in dive, thing goes from nose up-hangin-on-prop-stall to diving at 180 in matter of seconds---most other planes are hung out to dry for quite some time in that situation

I don't recall any evidence posted here that supports that supposition.  In fact, about the only things I've seen posted here are top speeds in level flight at various altitudes.  How do you get this from that?

Wrong. I did not dive above that speed and let it settle, I let it get to max speed w/o WEP and then went to WEP and let it level out. It reached 316-317mph. That would make no difference anyway, it will level out at the same top speed eventually.

But it's "accurate"... for a rare, late-war bird.

EDIT: By that I mean the engine power is "accurate".. the E retention is BS.

It stalls at 48mph repeatedly in a high nose up attitude while retaining steady aim. THEN, after stalling in 1.5 seconds it is nose down at 180mph (I have seen this so many freaking times in the film viewer, it LITERALLY jumps from 48mph to 180mph nearly instantly, allowing a plane that stalled out totally to then RE-zoom and LOOP and BARREL ROLL without hesitation, when it should be floundering at stall speeds.

THAT needs fixing. Too damn "game-y" for me.

you are way off krusty
