Would it be posible if the film viewer was made so the views could be adjusted and tied to the mouse? (as it is in game)

The view changes can be made to look much more fluid like. And more importantly, much more realistic.

This has always been my one biggest gripe with the program. It would really make a big difference on how films looked if one is into film making. Please Please Pretty please.

I third the motion. Just as I get into making some movies and videos I am left with switching to 'pan' view each time and using the numpad to look around.

Using mouse only would be a great assist!

On another note...is it possible to adjust fraps or the film viewer so that it does not default to forward view when you start recording? I'd like to be able to set up the angle before hitting record than having to reset the angle during each new recording.

I know they are VERY busy with TOD. Very busy is probably an understatement!

It would REALLY help out any film makers (hint hint commercial) who want to step up their films a notch.

This would really add alot more depth to a film, not to mention how smooth a view change would become. To pan with a view and have it look smooth is difficult at best... And most of the time you can't pan to where you'd like, so you must start all over again.

This one simple (i hope simple) addition would do wonders.

Again, what I'm asking for is a way to tie the mouse (pointer) to the views.

Rather than having to use the sliders on the side. Or the key pad.

Golfer, what you need to do is remap the record button in fraps. By default it is F9. If you hit F9 to start recording you also are going to "reset" the current view you have in the AH Film viewer to default forward.

I mapped mine to R.

By doing that, you can start/stop/pause the film viewer, get your views the way you'd like them, hit the play button and quickly hit record all at once while remaining in the view you had set up.

By the way morph, I made a commercial and if I could get any pointers on what I did well or didn't do well I'd appreciate it. I'm in the process of making a few videos now and am having lots of fun. Let me know what you think and if you could offer any critique just on the filmmaking aspect I'd appreciate it.

Very impressive golfer. Indeed.

Is that you're voice? Very fitting.

A few things.

I take it you dont own fraps. Try cutting out the fraps logo at the top. I dont know what editing program you are using so I can't tell you how to go about doing that. But in Sony Vegas you are able to do so. That I know.

The ONLY other gripe I have isnt with you're film its with the view system in the film viewer. For instance. You panned forward or to the rear of the C47. It stopped, started, and then stopped again.

Maybe, try to get that a bit more fluid like. Small things like that can really add to a film.

Also, I have a few very good clips of me attacking bomber missions. A few in a 262 and then some in a 109. Maybe a quick cut to something like that would be great. While making mention of ToD and some things it will offer.

The first clip seems to me to be a bit too long, with the P51. You make mention of bombers also but dont show them. Again, cutting to a big formation of bombers might be a great addition.

Man, with your voice over, i could really make a great commercial. hehe

Thanks for the tips! That was the honest to goodness first film I'd ever done and I'm using the comes-with-windows-xp Windows Movie Maker.

The "final copy" has the fraps logo covered up with a http://www.flyaceshigh.com banner so that's no issue.

I liked the long cut because it showed the detail of the P-51s gear doors but I do agree it's a bit long. I've got another script that has a little more detail but again, first try ever.

Yep my voice and my music. I spent Zero dollars making that movie and that includes the aftermarket software. I'm big budget I tell ya!
