Help with this week's Loose Rivets
« on: November 27, 2000, 05:16:00 PM »
Yeah.... duh.... I don't get it

I've stared at the thing 3 times... and I just can't figure it out. I'm missing some critical bit of context that will make this make sense, I reckon.

Does it have something to do with B-17 II's release?

Oh wait a minute... if the pilot gets wounded, do gunners see the wounded blackout effect too?

Yeah, they do. Bah, this is what happens when you're ill all weekend and don't have any cartoons in reserve. :P

Won't happen again.. but some of them are always gonna be hit and miss

Hit and miss? Well yah, naturally... But it aint really your fault.

The most charming thing about the 'Rivets is that they are all like an inside joke. You really have to fly AH to understand the humour... you have to be exposed to the chatter on channel 1... you gotta know the tone on the BBS... etc. etc.

IMHO that makes 'em way better than if ya watered em down to more general subjects.

So... I don't usually fly as a gunner... and didn't get it. That's OK. Most things go right over my head anyways

Great work Duma... I love em... and check the front page every day for the next instalment. If I had any complaint about em it would be that they don't come out daily

Cheers.

I liked that one, I think I'm guilty of a few whines on channel one when my tail gunner was hit and the pilot blacked out on final (are those damn blackouts triggered by ground proximity? I always black out at 10ft or so, just barely high enough to crash).

And yes, put RAM back, apparently he's back in the game too. Again.

'RAM in his chute' is actually my personal favourite   I redid that one a while ago to test the new style of layout, so I'll email that to Ronni and ask her to update the archive.

BTW, There should be a new one every Monday and Friday normally. The next one's for anyone who's ever flown the Typhoon

Really? wow. And me without noticing it.

For the record-No-I'm not on the game again, on the forums yes, but not on the game. And I plan to stay this way for a long time.

(RP4 for Falcon is a beauty, BTW   )
