What the sam %&^* is going on with this latest version of AH2? I have been booted 4 times tonight and I never get booted. I had one so bad that windows wouldn't even let  ah2 run. I had to reboot the pc and then when i went to start ah2, it started the video dialog box and  reloaded all the plane cache that it's suppose to only load once. Ever since this last version, I have been getting locked up screens. Sometimes it would come back and continue to run but most of the time it give me the ol UDP switch error and I'm gone.

I have a P4 2.2 gtz w/1 gig mem nvidia 5900fx

Sound Acceleration should be at 3/4 in DxDiag.

Use the 61.77 version drivers for FX5XXX series cards.

Run Spybot S&D and AdAware.

Eliminate any unneeded processes and services. Check TM processes here. Go to Run.. and type in "services"     go through the list and disable things you never could use. Automatic Updates is a massive pain on gaming connections. Disable it here and in any other place you may find it lurking.

Open the Task Manager and make sure that, with all windiows closed, your "Network Utilization" is at a constant 0%. If this isn't true, SOMETHING is connecting to the internet that shouldn't be, and could be causing packet loss and damage.

Do not run P2P programs. Skuzzy's tests have shown that even without the program running, the system can take days to restabilize.

Fix the link in your signature, it angers the compy gods. ;)

Considering that everyone else is being wrecked by savvis, thats a good bet.  St Louis and Chicago are especially bad tonight.

Considering that almost all their St Louis equipemnt came from 2 or 3 bankrupt companies, the hodgepodge of crap they have been stringing together there was bound to unravel sooner or later.  If it werent causing so much pain for folks right now, I'd be laughin my bellybutton off that these bozo's might finally be about to get what they deserve.  Sorry to gloat at your expense, but I've been waiting for this for 6 years.

Just keep on nerdin' Star.

I've never heard of a connection causing a need for a reboot.

Depends.  Programs that are running and transferring information back and forth on the internet connection can freeze up when they lose the connection sometimes, especially if the CPU was already overworked.  Doesnt happen often no.  But it can.

Besides, what I was talking about was the fact that everyone is having such crappy service out of Savvis lately.  My comment had nothing to do with his computer.  Just his ping plot.  One that looks much like a hundred or so other ping plots in the Tech Support forum.  All I said was I've been waiting for Savvis to fall flat on their collective face for some time.  I hate that it has to happen at the expense of other people's enjoyment, but I cant be unhappy to see it happening.  That was all I was saying.

THE AGONY! It needs to be shot and burned! Definate traitor compy!

Star, I wasn't criticizing anything you said, just saying I've never heard of it before. I've still got a long way to go on learning about the inner workings of computers.
