If you are concerned with saving $$$ more than the best card money can by, check out this deal:

Elsa Gladiac MX

Cheap, and terriffic performance.  I can run AH at 1600x1200 16 bit and get 40 - 60 fps.

But if you have $500 extra bucks burnin' a hole... its GeForce2 Ultra time...

I concur - Elsa Gladiac GF 2 MX is a good card. I've tried three different version of the Geforce 2 MX (ASUS, Hercules, and Elsa), and by FAR, the Elsa was the best looking. Just super crisp and clean compared to the others, when run in the same box on the same monitor.

Unfortunately, the Herc is mine, and the Elsa ended up in a box I built for a friend.

Note to self:  Friday morning, call Deja's boss, and remind him that with such a fine computer, he can work evenings and weekends at home, as well as in the office M-F...

Drifting off - HP950. Have you installed it yet? At the end of installation routine it innocently asks you to slot in a sample sheet of photo paper and out comes a printout of quality that's got to be seen to be believed . I dumped my normal camera and bought 3.3MP digital one.

p.s. if you have a very annoying message about re-installing a cartridge popping up every time you print anything - let me know, I've found a work around .

LOL! Yeah.. I printed out the "test" sheet.  5 minutes later a little hottie pops out of the printer.  I already have a digital camera

We have a 950 at the office - amazing quality for an inkjet.

Might buy one for home.

Couldnt they arrange an AMD chip for ya? A P3 is ok if its free but certainly they should let you get a real cpu for it.

I live in the Northwest.  We are a bit strapped for power since so many Californians bought AMDs and started causing brown-outs forcing us to re-direct some electricity.

I'll stick to the lower power chip thanks

Is that the one ya got for free?  Free from your nice little company??

Yea rub it in some more!!

I got a kick in the bellybutton with no raise last year. After we had a good year.  All profits and price awards go to corporate.  Man I love working hard so the "pencil necked weasels" can buy a vacation home in Florida.

Ya work for a good company there AKDV. Be thankful!!
