Oh, man...I just lost every last bit of respect for Robby Gordon.  Talk about EXCUSES...

I'm damn proud to be working at Argent.  Our whole company is pulling for Patrick & Brack.

GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :D

Unfair advantage?

So what's his excuse for sucking so bad in Nascar?

Do the 38 drivers ahead of him in the Nextel Cup point standings have an "unfair" talent advantage?

Why dont they just add a weight to her car. Making it the average weight of a man?

So should they just add and subtract weight to and from everyone's car so that they are all equal?

I guess my question would be more along the lines of: Are there any dissadantages to being a 100 pound woman driving a racecar? And should those disadvantages be transferred accross the board as well?

Does NASCAR really weigh the cars with the driver inside?

If he is truely serious about his sport why not loose 50lbs. I know he could remain healthy at that weight. He would pick up what @1/2 MPH. Or instead of comparing himself to Danica maybe he should compare the lightest male driver to her. Just guessing the weight differnece wouldnt be 100lbs.

Next do we hang weights off horses to equal the field?

I agree, what a loser

Dunno about nascar, but in F1 10kg of fuel is about 0.3 to 0.4 secs per lap depending on length.

So everyone who weighs less than the fattest guy has to have ballast added to their car?  If some porker weighs 300 pounds, this whiner should have 100 lbs added to his car?  That’s like saying that basket ball players should get platform shoes to equal their heights.  Or, football linebackers should able to strap on sandbags until they are equal in weight.  Can you imagine tubby jockeys?  Lots of sports give advantages to various body characteristics; often that’s part of the competition.  What if she argues that she’s just a little wimpy girl and doesn’t have the strength to handle such a powerful car and gee-loading?  Maybe the men should have to wear sandbags on their forearms… She could also complain that her breasts hurt from all the intense jiggling and the men should have to glue silicon implants on their man-breasts…

It’s bad enough to get beaten by a girl in a man’s sport, but crying, complaining and making excuses is just pathetic.  I think it’s clear who the sissy is here.

Wow... do you guys just post oppinions for the hell of it without the slightest clue as to what you are talking about out of addiction... or is there some other reason?

The issue is considering total weight limit vs car-only weight limit. With a total weight limit, driver+car+fuel must weigh a MINIMUM weight. If you go over that, it's your choice. With car only, the weight of the driver becomes an issue. 100lbs does make a hell of a difference with a 1500 lb car... especially at the outer edge of the torque curve.

This has nothing to do with catering to the heaviest driver.

I don't give a damn about IndyCar racing, I just enjoy watching Robbie Gordon cry.

That being said, I'm sure Danica Patrick pays a price for the lack of weight, like a lack of muscle mass.
