Wait til the spitV gets a more "representative" engine and doesn't hover steadily until 48mph then accelerates to 180mph after 1.5 seconds of nose down after the 48mph. THEN master it

My opinion is that you shouldn't master 1 plane. Bad idea. The planes are all inaccurate in some way or another. If you depend on the SpitV (for example) being able to climb like a helo then it gets fixed/changed you're SOL. So learn how to do the moves in a spit, but also do them in a zero. Also do them in a hurc2. Also do them in a fill-in-the-blanks. Spit's a good plane to "learn" in, but don't become overly reliant in it.
Also, don't give up the idea of flying different spits. Take a spitV, then take a SpitIX. You'll find it zooms and climbs better, and has marginally better top speed (and marginally worse turn radius). Then try a SpitXIV (if you got the perks). Then a Spit1 (I'm not kidding! It flies differently but still can get kills).
And then if you get tired of the runners, get into a fast plane, and learn it!
Like Devil said, you'll learn. Just don't limit your learning. Try some BNZ and note how/when you die/almostdie, then when you're in the turn fighter pull that move on your BNZ friend.
Lots of ways to do it, my opinion's but one of many.
