Easy one, that's a B-17

That museum sounds worth visiting Hogenbor, I never heard of it before. Best you say? I'll have a look on the map, maybe it's not far from here? (Im from Delfzijl and studying in Hoofddorp)

In the Netherlands nothing is really far away ;)

Best is a village near Eindhoven. It's no problem getting there, either by car or by public transport. The museum is on the compound of an old military base. See the website:

http://www.wingsofliberation.nl/

It is mostly focused on the war as it was fought in this part of The Netherlands, especially the liberation in '44/'45. It is not that professional or 'glossy' though as you'll see in big museums with lots of funding. I guess it is mostly run by volunteers. It's in the middle of the woods and very quiet.

Quite a lot of stuff there though and definitively worth a visit, especially if you want to brush up your knowledge of Dutch history from 1940-1945. Some nice stuff there too, a Hetzer, a T-34, Katoesja rocket launcher, Nebelwerfer, a bunch of Kubels, Flak 88, two Dakotas, Shermans, a  Dutch TF-104 Starfighter, Mig-21, Jeeps, a DUKW, restoration of a WACO glider and quite a lot about units and veterans who fought in and around Best.

Admission is the paltry sum of 6 Euros. Go there!
