Been watching em all night.  If I must say, Joe Walsh looks like he's having a blast!

Hehe, he sang too clearly to be high, he was just having fun. :)  He did say, though, that he's been clean for 10 years or so.

You bet.

Its basically a tube that runs from your mouth to a "talk" box that connects to your amp.  When you talk into the tube, it transfers to the box it connects to.  The box in turn makes it a signal and sends it to the amp.  The guitar is what the signal plays off of.  Your voice will only sound through the amp if you are playing the guitar.  Its kind of like a "guitar voice" style thing.

Pretty neat tool.  I hope that made more sense to you than it did me. :)

I'm not sure if thats right, but from what I've read about them thats how it works.

Just finished watching the program (well, an hour ago) with my parents who came to visit. They said "who are the Eagles?" Then they heard Hotel California, and said "Oh Them, I recognize that one."  Was a hoot. They became engrossed in the music because they could actually understand the lyrics, and they loved the harmony. I'm talkin about a couple in their 80s, to give ya an idea. Made for a fun Family TV viewing.

The one I used didn't work like that!  I had to have a microphone to use it. The box that the tube hooked up to had a little speaker in it and the sound went up the tube to the mouth.  You then use your mouth to make all the groovy talking sounds INTO the mic which goes out the PA (or another amp)  Maybe they have some new digital ones that work the way you described, but the voice box's back in the 70's worked like the one I used to use.

Sure, Joe Walsh sang it, not Frampton.
