I guess I'm pushing the historical envelope.
I wish HTC would allow a kind of "plane sharing" concept between the Allies and Axis.
Just maybe one or two skins allowed per country.
Too elaborate.....
I wouldn't be to far fetched to imagine lets say the RAF has some excess Spits and Typhoons due to lack of pilots.
The U.S. Airforce comes along and says hey, we'll fly the planes with American pilots under U.S. command with U.S. markings and we will help out the RAF in the defense of Britian.
On the same hand the U.S. Airforce thinks too itself saying hey this could happen too us as well. So lets Give the RAF some P-51's flown by RAF pilots ,under RAF command with RAF markings.
This way if we ever run short of Stang pilots the RAF will have already trained Mustang pilots we could use
I know it's not "Historically correct" but it's no so far fetched that it couldn't have happened.
I mean keep the historical camo and stuff, just allow to use an allies marking.
I know alot of guys who like to fly a certian type plane, but it just a bit more fun to fly that plane with your home countries markings.
I sure alot of our friends over the pond would love to fly a P-51 with British markings.
Like i said maybe only allow just one or two skins per plane per country.
Maybe a skinner who specalizes in that certian AC should do the skins to avoid a flood of submissions.
Or to keep it simple just use the default skin and just change the markings.
Anyway it really wouldn't hurt anything to allow this and using the default skin would keep any off the wall skins from being made. (the default skin's already approved)
I know its wishfull thinking but if you dont ask you'll never get an answer
