Hard reboots
« on: June 04, 2005, 10:55:12 PM »
Does anyone have a guess as to a computer system hard rebooting during AH ONLY when bombers are dropping on me when in a GV or ack gun?  Does not happen when a fighter drops bomb. Video card getting a little long in the tooth?  GeForce 4600Ti. Screen says "out of range" and then reboots.

Durn bombers take out my computer too! Too real.

Thnx.

muhahahahaa

:D  damn im good .

actually it could be a weak power supply , a hot video card/ video drivers  , sound drivers/issue , or even bad ram .

you need a good system hardware test . (i use fixit utilities for my tests but its not free)

Also make sure you are using the 61.77 video card drivers from NVidia.  The newer drivers will cause problems with that video card.

Heat can also be a culprit.

Turning off that auto update feature seemed to work.  That thing must be a hog of some sort.

I was getting hard reboots in AH, I upped my voltage slightly on my cpu and it cured it.
