switching PC parts

Must be the box.
Nudged it a bit last week, nothing rough, just setting down an xbox controller on top of the rear of the box, above the PSU, and the screen froze for a fraction of a second, unfroze for a moment, and refroze again. CPU processes were ok, as winamp kept playing, but GPU must've taken a stick in its spokes, as the PC just auto-rebooted after a few seconds.

A few days pass, and I'd forgotten to push the box back in place since I'd pulled it out to have it within reach when I was swapping stuff in and out.  I accidently hit my knee against it as I get off the chair in a hurry.
Nothing really violent again, but the same thing happens.
System fail VGA test message on reboot.

Reboot without a VGA card and it gives the same message, so all along the problem's been equivalent to having no card detected.
Same that happened to the Audigy2 after one reboot.

Letting it sit apart overnight, if that doesn't help I'll float it.

what pisses me off is that I checked for any contacts between box and board, and didn't find any.
Now I see that the cheap pos of a box flexes a bit, but even so, when I look at the board, from what I'd memorized, it still shouldn't make any contacts.  I'd trimmed off the box/chassis pieces that could.

So just a vibration could do it?

Mind if I do a quick hijack? Where can I get some extra static-free bags?
