AH Quick Reference Guide translators wanted.
« on: June 07, 2005, 05:40:10 PM »
I was wondering if there would be any volunteers that are bilingual who would like to translate the AH Quick Reference Guide into a few of the more popular languages.
Of course any country that has planes in the game qualifies.
We'd need Japaneese, German, Italian, Russian, and probably Spanish, French and oh yea... British.
{Yes I'm poking fun at our friends across the pond.}
Yes, I know I forgot some. I just want to start with a few and see how well it works.
What languages besides those mentioned do you think we would need?

Anyone interested?

{fingers crossed} fixed it.

Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

#1 your link is broken.

#2 can you provide it in plain text instead of PDF?

Yep, it doesn't work. I copied it and didn't check my work, apologies.
It's the AH Quick Reference Guide located at http://www.netaces.org
I will work on a text version.

I think this one 'might' work.

Thanks Jackal, I suppose I can do a search unless you know of one that stands out amongst the others.
For the tidbit, no potatos or latrine duty for you :)

goob,

I can provide in MS Word if you like. If you need plain text, can do it as a list, but probably not in 1 page format.

I didn't account for the different keyboards. This is where an experienced AH flyer whose bilingual would help. He could get the correct keystrokes for each command.
It has to be really tough for you to learn the commands when just starting then. Is it a 'hit this key and see what happens' process or am I missing something.

As far as I know, here is the best AHII guide in Japanese language.

http://www.uranus.dti.ne.jp/~blade/AcesHigh/AcesHighII.pdf

This fabulous work with more than 250 pages of pdf file has done by Blade, commander of the squad Battoutai.

He's been absent a while in MA though; however, I strongly recommend you to contact him for linking or joining the task.

Otherwise just let me know.  I am more than happy to be of a part of your task.

Regards,

Ryusei
