Okay,
I fly my plane to survive, if I get shot down to I loose perk points equal to the value of my plane in perk points?
Why would this be good, It would encourge people to fly the less perky planes in order to limit the damage when they were shot down. If I only loose 75 Perk Points flying the P-40B everytime it is shot down, but loose 300 perk points when I am shot down in a P-51D, (and I get shot down alot) It would behoove me to Fly the P-40B to lessen the damage to my Perk Points.
So for example,
I fly my P-40B, and I see a P-51 and I shoot it down, I get 300 perk points, then a P-51 shoots me down, I am at 225 and he only gets 75 points.
If I am flying a P-51 and I see a P-51 and I shoot it down, then I get 300 perk points, but If I am shot down, am back to zero.
Part of the reason I am thinking this way is because folks will fly for Perk points and instead of Score (Ladies of the Evening) we will have Perk (Ladies of the Evening) who won't assist a friend in need. Realistically in WWII if a pilot could save a friend he would. Here folks will say, you got yourself low and slow, I am not gonna die (and loose perk points) just to help you.
So, could there be a perk point modifier, like this.
Say I am a Rook, and I see a Knight P-51 attacking a Rook. The Knight has damaged my fellow Rook, I drop down, introduce the Knight to mister copper jacketed ball ammo and he blows up real good.
Great I get Perk Points for destroying the KNight, how about if that Rook I just saved manages to land his plane.
I DESERVE SOME OF HIS PERK POINTS!
How about modifying my score on the Knight X.10% if my damaged fellow manages to land.
