Anyone else having the problem of trying to capture a clip and it just goes to the tower and records that for 2 seconds??

Been having that problem, and with 200 films to go thru.... I am getting back logged.

Was thinkng of going to FRAPS, but I am not sure if you can do an external view, internal, etc. Anyone know FRAPS pretty good, let me know.... please!!

FRAPS is the answer. Whatever you see on the screen is what it records.

What about when I am trying to make a film? I can't do an external view in a fighter in the MA, so when I am using the film, all I get is internal views right?
I might have to spring the money and get it.... AH Film is killing me. I need to get some of these films off of my computer! Way too many!

You can select various different views with the film viewer and adjust them as you like. Fraps will record what you see. So yes Fraps will work for what you want.

You can change views with the film viewer. Internal, external, chase, gun-cam, you can even change to the perspective of another plane!

I know how to work AH Film Viewer.... The thing is, I am having problems with it. When I make a selection of what I want to cut out and use, it goes thru the entire deal and after it ask if I want it compressed, it just jumps to the tower and shows only a 1 second clip. But when I look the file, it shows it as basically being recorded. It will show it is 1,450mb for example, but it will only be a 1 second clip of in the tower....

In FRAPS itself can you change views? Like you can in AH Film Viewer.... That is basically the question. I don't want a 3 minute film all from inside of the plane.... I wouldn't get to see any explosions!!

FRAPS is a WYSIWYG program (what you see is what you get) so anything showing up while playing in game, in the film viewer, etc will be saved. Then from that you can edit the clips together. But no you cannot "change" the views like in the film viewer. I usually am lazy and just record the whole clip or parts of it set up the way I like in the film viewer then keep doing that till I have all the shots I want then open up sony vegas 5 and snip them all together
