I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be allowed to take it and fly. Even if I was okayed to do it,  I still wouldn't. Some of the flying I do doesn't leave a fella much "pondering" time.

Vorticon, good choice. It's a nasty vile habit and I wish I never started 30 years ago.

cheers,

To stop smoking you need to drink water upside down.

think of it this way.

Me and my wife smoke ABOUT a pack a day each.

cigs cost $3.40 a pack on base here.

for both of us that's $210 A MONTH.  worst part is if I by them off base they get exponentially more expensive plus most of it is taxes.

I could lease a decent car for 210/mo.

Hell in some cities that will rent you a pretty nice room with a view.

Then throw in your health issues and such.

Good luck gunslinger...

If you feel the urge, do exercise, or hell eat a healthy snack, but do not replace one bad habit with another...

Good luck, I know yah can do it!

How's your progress Guns? Just curious. Also a suggestion, one of my oldest friends recently quit smoking after a 20+ year pack a day habit. His doctor prescribed Wellbutrin to help him. He had tried in the past unsuccessfully, but this time he had no problems what so ever. No irritability, no cravings. He said it really made a huge difference. You might go to sickbay and ask them about it.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

going well.  I havn't smoked since monday morning.  I have not cheated at all.  My wife and work say I'm still more "abrasive" than usual but other than that all is well.

For me it's the same thing with the zyban as your friend.  The first time I tried it, it sucked and didn't work.  This time it worked like a charm.

The latest method is that they induce a comma and in six months revive you.
