These pics are an incredible look into the striations of the clouds and the formation of wall clouds, as the old one dissipates.

That picture kinda reminds me of the storms in that movie The Day After Tomorrow.

When you can see up insdie the eye of the storm and all you see is a huge wall of cloud. The eye or center of this storm sort of looks like that.

Sorry I don’t have any photos with higher resolutions.  These funnel clouds and twisters are “cold weather” funnel clouds/twisters….these very seldom touch down and if they do they are not very powerful, relatively speaking.  As we enter into July and August and the temperatures rise the risk of serious damage increases, this is still very low when compared to twister ally that runs through the American Midwest.  I have a couple other photos from this same weather disturbance that I will upload later today (when I get home from work)…

We have been getting some really bad thunderstorms here in Southern Ontario.

Funny thing. One of the products my company sells is garden umbrellas. Yesterday a lady called to explain that her umbrella was "faulty". Seems her family was eating under in on Sunday and the pole suddenly snaped and it fell off of the balcony.

Umbrellas are not warrentied against storm damage and well tell everyone to close them when not in use.

So she calls on Wed (the day after the worst thunderstorms of the year) and claims it happened 3 days earlier and it just snapped by itself.

:lol

Weird weather, I'd say. Three days ago it was 115 degF with the humidex, today it's 60 deg F.

At least the strwberries are out and they be huge, time for some strawberry milomiel (sp?).
I used to be a fatalist,
but that part of me died.
